How to Renew Your Qatar ID (QID) Online?

1. MOI website

A smart card is required to renew the QID through the MOI e-services portal.

• Log in to the MOI e-services portal with your smart card.

• Select “Residency Services” from the menu.
• Then click “Renew Residency”.
  • Renewal for individuals:
    • To renew a QID, select it from the list (up to five can be selected at a time).
  • Renewal for companies:
    • Click “Add” when you are ready to renew the QID number (maximum 20 QID numbers at a time).

• You can choose the period for the renewal of your Qatar ID (QID).
• The new residence permit or Qatar ID will be delivered according to the delivery option you choose.
• Don’t forget to pay the applicable fees.

2. Metrash2 App

• You can access your Metrash2 account by logging in.

• Select “Residency” from the menu.
• Then click “Residency Renewal”.
• By clicking “Next”, you will be able to choose between Personal (individual) and Company Residency Renewal.
  • Personal (individual) Renewal:
    • You can renew a maximum of five QID numbers at once.
  • Company renewal:
    • Click “Add” when you are ready to renew the QID number (maximum 20 QID numbers at a time).
• For the selected RP/Qatar ID, choose the renewal period.

• The new residence permit or Qatar ID will be delivered according to the delivery option you choose.
• Specify where you want the new residency permit or Qatar ID delivered.
• Make sure the details are correct; double-check them.
• Debit or credit cards can be used to pay the necessary fees.

How to Renew Qatar ID Offline in 2023?

1. For Citizens

Renewal of QIDs is available offline at the Department of Nationality and Travel Documents.

• The application form can be downloaded and filled out.
• Bring your current Qatar ID card when renewing your Qatar ID. For applicants over 65 years old, two passport-size photos must be submitted.
• The applicable fee must be paid.

2. For Expatriates

• The application form can be downloaded and filled out.
• Here are the documents you need to attach:
  • Obtain a copy of a valid employer’s identification (Personal sponsorships).
  • A copy of the Establishment ID of a valid employer (government agencies, institutions, companies, and others).
  • The application form and necessary documents should be submitted to the Department of Expatriates Affairs.

Qatar ID (QID) Renewal Fees

• The sponsorship fee for a wife, child, and family is QR 500. (One year)
• Employers, institutions, and shops may sponsor employees with QR 1,000. (One year)
• For personal sponsorship employees, servants, farmers, and sailors, QR 300 is due. (One year)
• For three-year renewals (for individuals, companies, wives, children, and families), there is a 20% discount.
• When selecting Qatar Post for delivery, an additional QR 20 must be paid.
